Governor Greg Abbott announced a new initiative to apprehend illegal immigrants in Texas charged with sex crimes and violent offenses. On Wednesday, Abbott, with the Texas Department of Public Safety, introduced the “10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants” list. The initiative offers cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of those on the list.

Abbott criticized President Joe Biden for dismantling effective border policies, resulting in increased illegal immigration and public safety threats. He emphasized Texas’s commitment to law and order, vowing to keep communities safe by targeting these criminals.

The list includes Victor Hugo Chox Gonzalez, wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child, and Omar David Zavala, wanted for sexual assault and making a terroristic threat. Other individuals face charges such as child sex abuse and smuggling offenses.
