A man was arrested Saturday for raping a woman after asking her for directions in the Bronx, police said.

The 35-year-old victim was walking near Bergen Avenue and East 149 Street around 1 a.m. on Aug. 5 when she was approached by a man asking for directions. The assailant then forced her into a dark area and raped her before fleeing east on East 149 Street towards Brook Avenue, police reported.
