CNN’s Dana Bash has come under fire for spreading disinformation regarding bomb threats in Springfield, Ohio. Bash, along with other left-wing media figures, falsely blamed former President Trump and Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) for inciting the threats with their claims about Haitian immigrants in the area. However, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine revealed that all 33 bomb threats were hoaxes, orchestrated by an overseas caller.
I can’t stop watching this. Dana Bash jerking her head around like a bird because her target didn’t accept her Narrative’s premise. Vance rejects the premises. Then he attacks the premises. Just beautiful. pic.twitter.com/gsNOV4hiwJ

The hoaxes, which targeted Springfield schools, were initially linked to unverified claims about missing pets and Haitian immigrants. Trump and Vance amplified these concerns, leading to widespread criticism from the media. Bash accused the two of inciting violence, but it later emerged that the threats were part of a foreign disinformation campaign.
Donald Trump Jr. called out Bash and others, accusing them of aiding foreign adversaries in spreading false information to damage Trump’s 2024 campaign. Despite the bomb threats being confirmed as hoaxes, no apologies have been issued from the media figures involved.
