A 55-year-old man, Lucas N. Kalisher, is facing charges after allegedly grabbing a 15-year-old boy by the neck and throwing him to the floor at an In-and-Out Burger in Loveland, Colorado. The incident, which occurred on August 4 and was partially captured on video, began when the boy accidentally splashed water on a woman. The boy approached the woman’s table to apologize, but Kalisher, who was with the woman, allegedly grabbed the teen by the neck, forced him down, and threw him onto the floor while demanding an apology.
Police reported that Kalisher and the woman left the restaurant before officers arrived. After interviewing witnesses and reviewing videos, police identified Kalisher and presented the case to the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office. A no-bond arrest warrant was issued on August 13, charging Kalisher with second-degree felony assault-strangulation and misdemeanor child abuse. Kalisher turned himself in that same day but has since been released on $75,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for August 23.
