Former Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Daniel Muir and his wife, Kristin, have been arrested and charged with child abuse after their missing 14-year-old son, Bryson, was found safe and sound.

Bryson had been missing since last week when his grandmother reported concerns about his safety to the police. On Wednesday, police reported that Bryson had returned home unharmed.

The Indiana State Police and SWAT team executed a search warrant as part of a child abuse investigation. Following the search, Daniel and Kristin Muir were arrested and taken to the Cass County Jail.

Daniel Muir, 40, faces charges of felony obstruction of justice and misdemeanor domestic battery, while Kristin Muir, 38, faces a single count of felony obstruction of justice.

The investigation intensified after a photo of Bryson with a black eye surfaced, and both parents allegedly refused to cooperate with the authorities. Following their arrest, Bryson was placed in the care of the Cass County Department of Child Services.

Daniel Muir, who retired from the NFL in 2013, is currently a pastor at Straitway Truth Ministries in Logansport, Indiana.
