A failed car thief in Florida was arrested after getting trapped inside a Corvette he attempted to steal. Ravesh Rabindranauth, 33, was caught by car owner Julio Solano in the driver’s seat of the luxury sports car at a Miami Beach parking garage. Solano was shocked to see Rabindranauth and began recording the encounter.

Rabindranauth pleaded with Solano, asking, “Can I get out?” Solano refused, saying, “We’re calling the cops.” The car’s security system had likely locked Rabindranauth inside, as it requires the keys to operate the vehicle’s electronic functions, and the thief was unaware of the manual door release.

Miami Beach police arrived shortly after and arrested Rabindranauth, charging him with one count of burglary. He is being held on a $2,500 bond. Solano advised others to stay vigilant when entering or exiting their vehicles, especially in parking garages. Rabindranauth, originally from New York, had no prior criminal history or outstanding warrants.
