A Florida father, armed with a beer and a bat, confronted an alleged peeping Tom who had been stalking his neighborhood for over a year. After spotting the man looking into his 14-year-old daughter’s window, the dad chased him down, yelling for neighbors to call the police. The suspect, identified as Damon Smith, had returned to the home after being caught once before. Video footage from a neighbor’s Ring doorbell camera showed the father confronting and pursuing Smith.
Smith was arrested on charges of loitering, voyeurism, and aggravated stalking of a minor. He had a prior arrest at 18 for making a bomb threat. Sheriff Rick Staly praised the father for protecting his family, warning that Smith fit the profile of a sex offender whose actions could have escalated.
