A couple faces charges after their baby was found dead on a Fulton County, Georgia street, WGAL reported.

McConnellsburg residents Joshua Wooters, 19, and Emily Dickinson, 20, are charged with criminal homicide, concealing the death of a child, and abuse of a corpse. Their newborn was discovered on March 11 at the intersection of North Second Street and Lincoln Way.

Dickinson allegedly confessed to throwing her baby out of the apartment window after giving birth. Both parents reportedly lived in the apartment. Wooters told law enforcement that Dickinson cut the baby’s umbilical cord with a kitchen knife, and he believed the baby died from blood loss before being thrown out the window.

Pathologists confirmed the baby bled to death from the umbilical stump. Both Wooters and Dickinson were arrested and taken to Bedford County Prison, where they have been denied bail.
