In Kamala Harris’s America, grocery prices have soared by 22% since she took office alongside President Joe Biden, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data. Despite the administration’s denial, Americans are feeling the pinch of inflation, with a $100 grocery bill in 2019 now costing nearly $140.

The Biden-Harris administration has overseen the third-largest food inflation increase in the first 42 months of any presidency since 1952, trailing only Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon. In contrast, grocery prices rose just 6.3% during the same period under Donald Trump.

Former President Trump criticized the skyrocketing prices, stating, “The inflation has killed them; food prices are up 50, 60, even 100 percent in some cases.” Meanwhile, Harris has faced criticism for her role in Biden’s policies, including her tie-breaking votes for the Inflation Reduction Act and the American Rescue Plan, both of which have been blamed for exacerbating inflation.

Although Harris has vaguely promised to lower grocery prices if elected president, critics argue that her proposals, including Soviet-style price controls, will only worsen the economic hardships facing Americans today.
