Jesus Enrique Ramirez Cabrera, a 23-year-old illegal alien from Peru, was arrested in Manassas, Virginia after allegedly kidnapping a teenage girl on her way to school. Authorities say Cabrera posed as a police officer, forcing the girl into his vehicle before she escaped two miles later. An eyewitness saw the girl on the roadside and helped her contact police.
Cabrera entered the U.S. in December 2023, where Border Patrol released him with a notice to appear before an immigration judge. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed Cabrera’s unlawful presence, stating that he had been released into the U.S. by the Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
This horrific crime is a direct result of Kamala Harris putting her political agenda above the safety of American citizens.
It’s not just negligence; it’s a betrayal. Our communities’ safety should never be sacrificed for reckless, politically driven decisions. https://t.co/ptamwqkTMG

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares has directly criticized the administration’s immigration policies, stating, “This horrific crime is a direct result of Kamala Harris putting her political agenda above the safety of American citizens. It’s not just negligence; it’s a betrayal.” Miyares believes the administration’s handling of the border contributed to this tragic event.
Cabrera is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, and ICE has placed a detainer on him, requesting custody if he is released from local authorities. Cabrera faces charges of abduction, robbery, impersonating a police officer, and petit larceny, all stemming from the alleged kidnapping.
Local residents remain on edge following the incident, with growing concerns over the broader implications of sanctuary policies and the handling of illegal immigration cases. Cabrera’s case adds to the ongoing debate about immigration enforcement and the safety risks associated with it, as critics argue that such policies prioritize politics over public safety.
