Hollywood star Michael Douglas condemned the “brainwashing” leading to anti-Israel campus protests in the U.S., saying students are acting out of ignorance.

During his trip to Israel, Douglas visited Kibbutz Be’eri and the Nova music festival site, locations of recent Hamas attacks. He also met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog in Jerusalem to discuss hostages held by Hamas.

Douglas expressed his shock at the anti-Israel protests at U.S. universities, suggesting students involved were “brainwashed,” lacking education and knowledge.

In a video from the Nova festival site, Douglas acknowledged the complexity of the conflict but hoped for a quick end to the war to prevent long-lasting hatred.

Douglas and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, recently hosted a Biden fundraiser, with Douglas praising Biden as “sharp as a tack” during a CNN interview.
