The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced on Thursday the arrest of Victor Hugo Chox Gonzalez, the top fugitive on the state’s “10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List.”

DPS Special Agents arrested the 38-year-old in Fort Worth. Originally from Mexico, Chox Gonzalez was wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact. He is now booked in Tarrant County Jail. Those on the “Most Wanted” list are considered armed and dangerous.

In 2016, Chox Gonzalez was convicted of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 and assault causing bodily injury to a family member. He was removed from the U.S. the same year. In 2021, he was arrested in Tarrant County for assault and providing false information, then bonded out. In 2023, Arlington Police issued warrants for his arrest for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

This arrest follows Texas authorities capturing two suspected murderers living in the Colony Ridge community, known for attracting illegal immigrants. Elected officials have warned about criminal gangs entering the U.S. under the Biden administration. Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-TX) cautioned about the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua gaining power in America.

Additionally, eight illegal immigrants with suspected ties to ISIS were recently arrested after crossing the border.

During Biden’s term, officials have recorded over 9.5 million nationwide encounters and 1.7 million estimated illegal immigrant gotaways.
