A convicted killer, Alex Ray Scott, who began transitioning in prison, was sentenced to 22 years to life for the murder of New York City antiques dealer Kenneth Savinski. Scott, from Oklahoma, killed Savinski in January 2020 after meeting him through a dating app and returning to his Upper East Side apartment. Savinski was found dead the next day with severe wounds, including a broken hyoid bone, slit throat, and deep facial cuts.

Scott connected with Savinski through a dating app and, after fatally stabbing him, took his credit cards.

Scott turned himself in and was found with Savinski’s credit cards. During the investigation, Scott also confessed to killing and decapitating Oklahoma resident Robin Skocdopole, whose remains were found in May 2020. Scott had rented a room from Skocdopole and used a chainsaw-like instrument to dismember him. In May, Scott was sentenced to 45 years in prison for Skocdopole’s murder.

While in prison, Scott, a biological male, began transitioning and appeared with a feminine appearance at the recent sentencing. Scott also faces charges in Oklahoma for the alleged sexual assault of a 6-year-old boy.
